Garment NOT included. Prices are per embroidery and digitizing costs.

There are two parts to embroidery pricing:

Digitizing Costs
Cost of Digitizing -  we typically charge a flat fee of $65.00 for digitizing.  This is the process that takes your art work and makes it into a file that our machine can read and sew out.  This is a ONE TIME FEE only.  Once your image or logo is digitized there is never a need to pay for digitizing again unless we are drastically changing something about the logo or design.  Our change fee is typically $15.00.  This is NOT necessary for color changes, it only applies to drastic size or image changes that would require extra work to redo the stitches themselves.  However, if it's new art, it's a new digitizing charge so think about how you can reuse your designs in your apparel whether it's corporate or fashion.

We fully realize that you can have your artwork digitized somewhere else and that's OK too.  We can not, however, guarantee that your digitized file will work on our machines nor can we guarantee the quality of that digitizing.  There are half a dozen online companies that will digitize embroidery for pennies but in our experience the final product can be less than desirable and you as the consumer have no recourse if the file is junk.  So consumer beware of online, overseas companies that will digitize for anything less than say $30 - $45.  When it comes to setup you do get what you pay for.

Embroidery Costs

Cost of Embroidery --- is based on the number of stitches and is discounted based on the number of pieces being embroidered; i.e. more pieces means lower piece price. The table below shows typical embroidery pricing. 

Embroidery price + Garment Price = Final Unit Price**

How do I determine price?

Add cost of shirts, plus embroidery costs.

The rough estimate -- Calculate the number of square inches that your logo will cover and multiply by 1,200. For example, if your finished embroidered logo will measure 3 inches wide by 2 inches high (2 x 3 = 6 x 1,200 = 7,200 stitches). This formula assumes 100% stitch coverage; so, if your logo will only be 50% coverage, multiply the total number of stitches by 50% (7,200 x 0.50 = 3,600). You can then use the above tables to calculate Digitizing and Embroidery costs. 

The accurate estimate ---- please scan and email your artwork to us at art@vsacustom.com. Provide us with details of where the logo will be used, finished size and how many garments you plan to embroider.  We will provide an accurate written quote normally within 48 hours. 

Embroidery Information:

• Minimum quantity is 1 shirts.
• Normal production time is 10 business days from receipt of final art approval.

• Art files must be in vector format with fonts outlined and saved in .ai, .eps, .pdf, or .psd files. Photoshop files must be saved at 300 dpi with layers not flattened.  Fonts need to be converted to outlines.

Order blank shirts on-line, and in comment section write "Custom Order - Embroidery". Then send artwork to art@VSAcustom.com. In body of email, include instructions on location(s) of embroidery, thread color(s), and preferred size of image.  We will send you a proof for approval.
